My family goes to Ichibans every birthday. We are never disappointed. The food is great, sometimes the service gets caught in translation but all in all a great time. We always order shrimp, steak, scallops, & chicken. Never disappointing.

We live nearby and visit Ichiban several times a year - sometimes just for ourselves, sometimes to take visiting friends, or for a family birthday. It's a favorite place to celebrate, because they make the birthday fun. Granted, they are busy on weekend nights, but for the most part, the people who go there anticipate somewhat of a wait, even with reservations. Just go to the bar and have a cocktail while waiting - it's worth the wait. The hibachi chefs have their good nights - when they are wanting to impress, particularly if there are kids in the group, and they have their off nights, when they seem to find their job boring - I guess we all have our moments. But for food - fresh, fresh, fresh! You hear so much about what restaurants are like behind the scenes - scary - but here you can see your food prepared the way you like it, and it's always fresh and delicious. Recommend hibachi, but also great appetizers, sushi and sashimi, and great drinks. It's a good value, as the have child portions, and also a full hibachi dinner is only about $25. Highly recommended. They try really hard to get people in, and they don't rush you to get out, particularly if you're having a birthday party. An ice cream cake is available for $18 - serves 8, or the birthday person gets a fresh fruit boat with a candle - free. Have fun - great place - trust the locals...

We visit Ichiban about once a month. We are never disappointed with the food or service and most the time we leave with a to-go box because we just cant finish our dinner.
If your in the area give Ichiban a try. We like the chicken, steak, shrimp platters.R.B. (Lehighton)
Everything was Very Good, from the greeting at the door to the Special Birthday treatment at the end. We ate on the Hibachi side and the food and the show were just as I expected. My NY Steak and Scallops combo was prepared just as I ordered. My wife's Terraki Chicken was moist and tasty. The Chef was personable and paid attention to the Birthday Boy(Me).
There was another family sharing the table with us that evening. Her salmon looked excellent too. We all seemed to have a great time and the bill was not extreme for what we ordered.John R.
I've eaten here dozens of times! The hibachi food is incredible. The dining room area serves Bento Box, Tempura, and teriyaki dinners. I spend my time at the small sushi bar which is simply the best around. They were one of the first in the area- now everyone just tries to duplicate- especially the cheaply priced buffets! The bar has no draft beers and a limited array of bottled beer. I usually opt for a martini or mixed drink- they make a nice cocktail. Service can be hectic with more than one server working other servers' tables- but it's efficient. You may want to hold off on ordering diner so you can enjoy appetizers, salad, and soup as the main course sometimes arrives a bit too quickly. The staff and owners are pleasant and aim to please. I love Ichiban - it's number one!

Excellent Japanese food. The noodles are excellent as are the steak done teriyaki style. This is the best I've had in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Fun times! Loved, loved the noodles. Went there in a huge group, had a great time. Service was great, even though the place was packed.

The full hibachi experience. Love this place. Been there for about 3 birthday dinners! Food is absolutely delicious and the "show" provided by your master hibachi chef is half the fun.
